Getting to the gym on a regular, consistent schedule has never been easy for me. Sometimes I can do it for a few weeks or months at a time, but inevitably life butts in and schedules get changed. In order to not completely lose momentum and/or get discouraged, I try to incorporate mini workouts into my day when I can even if it’s just 5-10 mins of push-ups and lunges.
Another fitness tool I like to have is a workout DVD (or streaming video) that doesn’t require too much as far as space or gear. I particularly love the Tracy Anderson Method Mat Workout DVD when I want to squeeze in a quick workout and want to focus on toning. To be honest, I haven’t even mastered this workout to be able to do it from start to finish (my fitness level is not very high but I’m working on it!). Often, I’ll just do sections of it depending on time, and I still see results!!
The best feature of this workout video, I think, is the arm sequence. It’s hard and unlike any I’ve done before, but I’ve found it to be the most effective to tone my arms.
With summer upon us and the inevitable progression to more revealing clothing as the warmer weather hits, I think I’ll be adding this one to my schedule a little more often. 🙂
Shop the post and some workout gear I’m loving now:
Have a great weekend!

June 11, 2016 at 12:51 pmThis is so fun, staying motivated is always important. I'm all about toning. I do bodypump and total body conditioning at the gym on a regular basis and I live for them. My arms are pretty sore right now from yesterday's class but it was worth it. Have a wonderful weekend.

June 14, 2016 at 12:24 pmSuch a great post! I'm so excited about warm weather and summer, I haven't really done any indoor workouts – I just want to be outside, lol! I love your suggestion about the 5-10 minute things though. I need to do that on my off days!

June 17, 2016 at 2:37 pmIt is hard to stay inside when the weather is finally warm and nice. But a walk outside counts for exercise!
