What to Wear to a Wedding: Halston Heritage

A couple weekends ago I attended my cousin’s wedding. It was so beautiful. Held at Rose Bank Winery in PA (gorgeous sunny day, btw), the venue was rustic yet modern and minimal, an ideal setting for an elegant event. But what was even more beautiful was how genuinely happy my cousin and his now wife were to finally get married. They were in the moment, and I don’t think it would have mattered to them if there were hundreds to witness their marriage or just the two of them. It was nice to experience a simply happy event.

It’s been a long time since I attended a wedding and I don’t often wear dresses, so there’s really not a ‘go-to’ in my closet for these type of events. Or, at least, that’s what a told myself… Anyway, it was a great excuse to find a new dress. The first few I tried were so, so wrong, but then I tried on the one shown above(taken with my phone, so sorry for the bad quality!) from Halston Heritage. Perfect fit (no alterations, yay!), amazing tailoring and fabric quality, and a reasonable(for what you’re getting) price. Love! Best of all, it introduced me to the Halston Heritage collection of dresses.

Of course, I am familiar with Halston which was founded in the ’60’s and known for its innovative and fashion-forward looks. But somehow Halston Heritage, which launched in ’09, completely went under my fashion radar. Inspired by signature Halston pieces and evoking the Studio 54 era, Halston Heritage is effortless chic, modern and glamorous. Basically, it’s everything I love and a perfect resource for dress shopping!

Below are a few (I really love them all!) of my other favorites currently available from the line:
