3 Wardrobe Essentials for the Holiday Season

4 models in dresses
With holiday parties and events kicking off in the next few weeks (maybe they already started?), there are 3 essential wardrobe items that have the versatility to increase and simplify your outfit options.
Below are the 3 essentials with some of my fave picks:
1. A Tuxedo Jacket – This is an investment piece that can be worn for multiple occasions with slacks as a suit, jeans and a tee, over a dress or skirt, etc.  Go for high quality and the best fit even if you have to pay a little extra. For blazer jackets, it’s all about cut, so bad quality will result in a bad fit.

L to R: Vince (on sale!), DKNY(on sale!), Smythe
2. Sleek Trouser or Leather / Leather-like pants – Love the versatility of pants and the way that they can be easily dressed up or down, conservative to edgy, office to cocktails.  If it looks good on you, get it!

Last but not least…
3. The Little Black Dress (or LBD) – An obvious choice, but often overlooked and/or under-appreciated. The LBD can be one of the strongest pieces in your wardrobe. It should be flattering, you should be completely comfortable in it, and it should be something that can be thrown on at a moments notice. Your “go-to” item when all else fails or when there’s an opportunity for a spontaneous night out. The LBD should be re-assessed every season to make sure that it continues to work for your body shape, be in good condition, and remains on-trend. If you can have more than one style, the better.
